I call this my super energy smoothie as it loaded with superfoods.
Maca is an energizing superfood. It’s also known as Peruvian ginseng, which is made from the tubers of a root vegetable that grows in central Peru.
Acai is one of the superfruits. The açaí powder used in this smoothie is made from freeze-dried acai berries.
They’re both naturally gluten free. Add them to this smoothie for an instant energy boost as you gear up for Fourth of July food, fireworks, and fun.
This is a fruity drink with strawberries, banana, and an apple.
You don’t have to wait for a special occasion. Enjoy this smoothie anytime you want an energy boost.
Let me show you how easy it is to make.

Connecting through the UBC challenge. Saw your blog is Gluten Free and wanted to connect. I am Gluten Sensitive and blog about Gluten Free Living. Great Recipe. I don’t like bananas so I might change out the banana for pumpkin! Thanks, Wendy https://wendybottrell.com UBC

Hi Wendy,
Yes some of my children don’t care for the banana, the pumpkin sounds like a good switch.
Thanks for connecting and for commenting. I’ll stop by your sight.

I’ve been a fan of Vitamix for a long time but didn’t know they had gluten free recipes. Or do you have to find those elsewhere?
Barbara says
Hi Nancy,
We’ve been gluten free for over 10 years. I’ve converted our favorite recipes to gluten free by experimenting and substituting, trial and error until they are just as good as before.
I love my Vitamix, too. It is running several times a day here making soup, green smoothies, yogurt smoothies and more. We like to experiment. Raw, organic foods are easy on the digestion with natural healing nutrients for all the damage done from years of eating gluten. I’ve gotten in the habit to double check the package for gluten, wheat, malt, etc. before purchasing. The Maca and Acai are gluten free.
