Gluten Free Chicken Wings (Keto, Low Carb, And Paleo)

  • 50 chicken wings
  • 2 tablespoons of butter melted *see note for dairy-free option
  • salt to taste
  • garlic powder to taste


  • Fire up the grill or preheat oven to 400℉
  • Brush wings with melted butter. Season with salt and garlic powder.
    Cook wings for one hour (turn over after 1/2 hour) until crisp and cooked through. Since ovens vary, you may want to bake them longer to desired doneness. 
    Serve and enjoy.


  • If you buy whole wings, you can usually save money, but will have to cut off the tips and cut the drumette and flat apart. Or you can save time and buy pre-cut party wings.
  • If you make your wings in the oven, place them on a rack that fits in a baking sheet so that the fat will drain off the wings. Otherwise, they will be sitting in their grease and get soggy.
  • I recommend lining your baking sheet with parchment paper. Aluminum foil can be porous and leak fat into your baking sheet so it’s better to go with parchment paper that the grease won't seep through. Less messy pans to clean! Then when your wings are ready, simply wait for the fat to solidify on the parchment paper as it cools and just throw the paper away.
  • Dairy-free option: Substitute extra-virgin olive oil instead of butter.
  • Do you like your wings a little spicy? You can season them with chili powder or paprika or cumin too!
