Notes
1. Can I use whole chicken wings for this recipe? Absolutely! Whole chicken wings can be used to save money. Just trim off the tips and separate the drumette and flat. Or, if you prefer convenience, pre-cut party wings work great too.2. Is there a dairy-free, whole 30 option for the melted butter? Yes, you can swap extra-virgin olive oil for melted butter if you're looking for a dairy-free alternative.3. How do I add some heat to the wings? For a spicy twist, you can season the wings with chili powder, paprika, or cumin. Customize the heat level to your preference.4. Can I cook these wings in an air fryer? Absolutely! Spray the air fryer basket with oil, arrange the wings in a single layer, and cook at 400 ℉ for 20 minutes. Flip them over halfway through for crispy and golden results.5. How do I keep the wings crispy when baking in the oven? To ensure crispy wings, place them on a rack that fits in a baking sheet so that the fat will drain off the wings. Otherwise, they will be sitting in their grease and get soggy.Hint: I recommend lining your baking sheet with parchment paper. Aluminum foil can be porous and leak fat into your baking sheet so it’s better to go with parchment paper that the grease won't seep through. Less messy pans to clean! Then when your wings are ready, simply wait for the fat to solidify on the parchment paper as it cools and just throw the paper away.6. Can I grill these chicken wings instead? Absolutely! These wings are perfect for grilling too. Fire up the grill and cook them until they're crispy and cooked through.7. Can I make a larger batch for a party? Absolutely! Simply scale up the recipe to accommodate the number of guests. Prepare multiple batches as needed.8. Can I use other spices for seasoning? Definitely! Feel free to get creative with your seasoning choices. Experiment with herbs, spices, and seasonings that you love.Recently, I've been adding grated parmesan cheese to the melted butter. Grated Parmesan Cheese: Parmesan adds a nutty and melt-in-your-mouth quality to the wings. If dairy doesn’t agree with you, you can try your favorite dairy free cheese.9. How long do leftovers stay fresh? Leftover wings can be kept covered in the fridge for up to 4-5 days. Just reheat them in the oven or air fryer for that crispy texture.
