These delicious naked gluten free chicken wings have no batter or breading on them. So they fit right into the keto way of eating. And did I mention, delicious? Yum.
Savor the flavor of crispy, succulent naked chicken wings that break free from flour and breading, while still delivering unbeatable flavor.
Chicken wings are that simple crowd-pleaser that everyone loves.
But here’s the kicker – unfortunately, many times when my family gets the itch for chicken wings from a restaurant, the wings are floured or dipped in batter and breading before they even hit the fryer.
They’re not gluten-free.
Do wings have carbs?
Well, these grain-free gluten-free chicken wings have zero carbs! Zero. So these are keto wings, too.

Wholesome cooking techniques
While fried wings are undeniably delicious, it’s wise to minimize deep-fat frying. Opt for alternatives like baking or air frying. Baked or grilled chicken wings can rival the crunchiness and flavor of fried ones while being kinder to your health.
Nutrient-rich chicken wings
While examining the natural health benefits of chicken wings, I discovered they offer an abundance of nutrients. Think healthy fats, protein, amino acids, and essential B vitamins including B12, B6, and niacin. Plus, they’re packed with vitamin A, vitamin D, vitamin E, zinc, iron, and more.
Ever considered that chicken wings contribute over a third of your daily selenium and zinc needs? You’ll also find valuable doses of potassium, calcium, phosphorus, iodine, chromium, and copper in these wings.
The superiority of pasture-raised chicken wings shines too. They outshine conventional wings in terms of vitamin E, vitamin A, vitamin D, and omega-3 fatty acids – nurturing your well-being in every bite.
If you can’t find pasture-raised wings locally, US Wellness Meat delivers straight to your door. How easy is that?
And here’s the good news. Gluten free chicken wings are super easy to whip up at home, ensuring that everyone at your table, from kids to picky eaters, will be grinning from ear to ear.
Here’s what you’ll need to make them.
Ingredients
• Chicken wings: If you buy whole wings, you can usually save money, but will have to cut off the tips and cut the drumette and flat apart. Or you can save time and buy pre-cut party wings.
• Melted butter: This brings richness and a satisfying mouthfeel to every bite.
• Garlic powder and salt: These everyday spices enhance the natural taste of your wings.

In this recipe, I brush the wings with melted butter.
And then, season with salt.
Next, I sprinkle with garlic powder because as Mom always said, “you can never have too much garlic”. So, I’m keeping that mantra alive and well.
And into the oven they go, crisping up to perfection and hitting that juicy sweet spot.
So, how long to bake chicken wings? At 400℉, I bake them for 30 minutes.
With tongs, flip them over, and bake for another 30 minutes.
Ta-dah! Gluten-Free and irresistible: the ultimate chicken wings recipe.
If you like more crunchy wings, bake them for another 5-10 minutes.
How long to cook chicken wings in the air fryer?
Not only have I made these wings in the oven, but also in my air fryer. Simply, spray a bit of oil on the bottom of your air fryer basket. Working in batches, arrange wings in a single layer. Cook at 400 ℉ for 20 minutes, flipping over with tongs halfway through, and voilà – crispy golden goodness in no time.
Pro tips and recipe notes
1. Is there a dairy-free, whole 30 option for the melted butter? Yes, you can swap extra-virgin olive oil for melted butter if you’re looking for a dairy-free alternative.
2. How do I add some heat to the wings? For a spicy twist, you can season the wings with chili powder, paprika, or cumin. Customize the heat level to your preference.
3. How do I keep the wings crispy when baking in the oven? To ensure crispy wings, place them on a rack that fits in a baking sheet so that the fat will drain off the wings. Otherwise, they will be sitting in their grease and get soggy.
Hint: I recommend lining your baking sheet with parchment paper. Aluminum foil can be porous and leak fat into your baking sheet so it’s better to go with parchment paper that the grease won’t seep through. Less messy pans to clean! Then when your wings are ready, simply wait for the fat to solidify on the parchment paper as it cools and just throw the paper away.
4. Can I grill these chicken wings instead? Absolutely! These wings are perfect for grilling too. Fire up the grill and cook them until they’re crispy and cooked through.
5. Can I make a larger batch for a party? Absolutely! Simply scale up the recipe to accommodate the number of guests. Prepare multiple batches as needed.
6. Can I use other spices for seasoning? Definitely! Feel free to get creative with your seasoning choices. Experiment with herbs, spices, and seasonings that you love.
Recently, I’ve been adding grated parmesan cheese to the melted butter. Parmesan adds a nutty and melt-in-your-mouth quality to the wings. If dairy doesn’t agree with you, you can try your favorite dairy free cheese.

Yes, I meet so many folks who find that a gluten free diet helps with what ails them. I hope these recipe ideas help if you ever have to serve a gluten free meal.

Though I don’t eat chicken I think its great that you are posting gluten free recipes, its wonderful to see all of the products coming out in the stores for people who either have gluten sensitivities or who just want to eat healthier in general. I found a great ice cream shop that just opened in our small town across from an old age home, the ice cream is gluten free and almost completely sugar free. I thanked the owner for creating a treat thats good for my family as well as the elderly people across the road who often suffer due to poor diet and low incomes.

Aw, that’s sweet that you thanked the owner. More and more restaurants and grocers are offering healthier foods and foods that folks with special diets can enjoy. Thanks for your encouragement.
