Healthy And Tasty Primal Kitchen Mayo Review

Healthy And Tasty Primal Kitchen Mayo Giveaway

Mayonnaise is a favorite condiment in my house, but the highly-processed store bought variety is not something I want my family eating. It’s filled with unhealthy fats, preservatives, and chemicals. I’ve tried making mayo by hand with real food ingredients, but that was hard work and it only kept about a week in the fridge.

On my search to find a company that produced a healthy mayonnaise, I was delighted to discover Primal Kitchen Mayo. Unlike most processed mayonnaise, this mayo is made with avocado oil. That means that not only is this fluffy white mayonnaise delicious, it’s also good for you!

Read on for my full review of Primal Kitchen Mayo.

Healthy facts

Here’s how Mark Sisson, the founder of Primal Kitchen, explained his company’s philosophy, “My philosophy is simple: Every bite of food you eat should be both delicious and healthful. I created Primal Kitchen to make healthy eating easy and exciting. No more sacrificing flavor for health—and no offensive ingredients allowed!”

Primal Kitchen Mayo certainly lives up to that. This tasty mayo is canola and soy free, gluten free, dairy free, sugar-free, and non-GMO. It’s made with just six ingredients: avocado oil, organic cage-free eggs, organic egg yolks, organic vinegar derived from non-GMO beets, sea salt, and rosemary extract.

Most commercially produced mayonnaise contains unhealthy oils, like canola or soybean oil, that are high in polyunsaturated fatty acids. Primal Kitchen points out the danger of consuming canola oil: “Canola processing generally uses heat higher than 500 degrees, which means a good portion of healthful omega-3s are actually rancid—and toxic—by the time the product hits the shelf!”

Instead, Primal Kitchen Mayo is made with avocado oil. Because avocados are a high-energy, high-nutrient food loaded with healthy fats, vitamins, and antioxidants, this mayonnaise is incredibly good for you.

More product facts

Primal Kitchen Mayo is good for nine months unopened in your pantry. Once opened, it keeps in the fridge for up to sixty days. That is much more convenient and long-lasting than the homemade variety!

Because the mayo is made without any fillers or preservatives, it may freeze in transit when shipped to a colder climate, but the real food ingredients will separate after being stored in the fridge.

Recipe ideas

Primal Kitchen Mayo is a delicious spread for a sandwich, but there are many more ways to enjoy this healthy condiment: in tuna or chicken salads, ranch or Caesar dressings, and even dips and sauces. I love using it to make gluten free salmon cakes (one of our most popular recipes). It’s also a perfect mayonnaise for potato salad or coleslaw.

I highly recommend Primal Kitchen Mayo. The health benefits can’t be beat by other store-bought mayos. And the taste is incredible. The mayonnaise has a very fresh, rich flavor with just a hint of tang.

Please note that I did not receive any compensation from Primal Kitchen for writing this review. These opinions are completely my own — I just had to share this wonderful product with all of you.

This sounds so much better than the typical mayo we use. I would love to try it in my homemade macaroni salad. .
