Review: Against the Grain Rolls

Here’s my review of gluten free Against the Grain Rolls including recipes for three savory and simple gluten free sandwiches you’ll love.Review: Against the Grain Rolls

For those of us who often don’t have enough time to bake our own bread, finding the best tasting gluten free brand is a bit of an adventure. There are so many different kinds of bread to choose from. But we do have a few favorites, and one of them is undoubtedly the delicious gluten free roll made by Against the Grain.

We love the Against the Grain rolls because the bread is the perfect consistency, light and airy, without any back taste. The rolls never become soggy once spread with mayonnaise or butter, and they don’t fall apart. They’re our go-to bread when we’re craving one of our favorite sandwiches.

Review: Against the Grain Rolls Healthy facts

The rolls are made with tapioca starch, milk, mozzarella cheese, eggs, olive oil, and salt. Against the Grain assures, “Everything we use is simple, fresh, and recognizable as a bona fide food substance….We obtain our ingredients and raw materials from as many local sources as possible.” Find out more at their website.

Cooking tips

The Against the Grain rolls must be kept frozen until you are ready to make your sandwich. Once defrosted, they are ready for you to eat or you can toast them for a warmer, crunchier taste.

I’ve put together several quick and easy recipes that you can try with these amazing gluten free Against the Grain rolls. I hope you enjoy them as much as my family does.

Savory and easy sandwiches

1. Sloppy Joe

sloppy joe not sloppy

These rolls are almost hollow inside and the well can be filled so a sloppy joe sandwich is not too messy after all. Follow the recipe for the sloppy joe meat from my sloppy joe stuffed peppers recipe.

This is always a great go-to meal on busy days because it comes together so quickly.

2. Philly cheesesteak

Enjoy Philly cheesesteak on a toasted roll with a special homemade sauce.

Indulge in these Philly cheesesteaks made with thin sliced roast beef in place of steak and tossed with peppers and onions, topped with real cheese (no cheese whiz here) and a special Russian dressing style sauce. Yum.

I did not receive any compensation for writing this post. All opinions of the Against the Grain Rolls are completely my own. I just had to share this wonderful product with all you.
