Gluten free quick garlic bread is easy to make beginning with frozen crusty Against the Grain rolls.
When I found out most of my family had non-celiac gluten sensitivity, over 10 years ago, there were not as many choices for gluten free bread as there are today. Often times your gluten free bread would fall apart, turn gummy in your mouth or you found yourself chewing on something akin to shoe leather.
Thankfully, now you can find some very good alternatives because of increased awareness.
As much as we love this classic garlic bread, our collection of gluten-free bread recipes is a must-see for even more options.

The food industry has taken notice and there are some new grains and still more mixes to satisfy us. Some of our favorites are Udi’s bread and Against the grain rolls.
Here’s a family favorite (one you may be missing, too). And it’s ready in minutes.
Remember — garlic bread!

Serving suggestions
Take your gluten-free quick garlic bread to the next level with a delicious topping of grated Parmesan cheese and fragrant parsley.
And dip it into tasty soup or chili recipes such as a soup made with Trader Joe’s Holiday Vegetable Hash, delicious Easy Creamy Broccoli Cheddar Soup, or hearty Gluten Free Ground Beef Chili With Hot Dogs.
For the ultimate feast, consider pairing it with a gluten-free Italian sauce, whether you go with my classic homemade Italian Red Sauce recipe or a convenient store-bought option like Muir Glen.
Feeling creative? Stuff your roll with sliced Slow Cooker Pot Roast, classic Italian Sausage And Peppers, authentic lemony Gluten Free Chicken Scarpariello or your preferred gluten-free sliced deli meats for a satisfying meal. Boar’s Head deli meats are gluten free.
Alternatively, you could choose to slather your gluten-free roll in rich Herb Butter.
Pro tips and recipe notes
- Tip: If you share your kitchen with folks who eat bread that contains gluten, it’s a good idea to have a toaster that’s designated as a gluten free toaster. For more tips like this, please read: 5 Essential Steps to Prevent Gluten Cross Contamination In Your Kitchen
- This recipe is my quick garlic bread method. Alternatively, when I have more time and want more servings I make a whole baguette. Simply, defrost it and spread with butter and fresh garlic cloves. Then wrap it in foil and bake in the 350℉ oven for about 10 minutes.

I love this idea for garlic bread, though I have never heard of the brand before. I love Usi’s products. Recently I found a new brand, Canyon Bakehouse. Their Mountain White bread is soft and chewy, even after days in the frij. Thanks for having this blog!

Hello Kebba,
Against the Grain products are good (they also make an excellent baguette) according to my choosy eaters. They are located in Vermont and they bake a quality, natural bread.
Yes, The Canyon Bakehouse makes an excellent hamburger bun, too. Thanks for sharing about their Mountain White Bread.

I Love Against the Grain baguettes and rolls (we call it “fat bread,” since it’s 14 g of fat per roll/baguette). I can’t stand Udi’s, and I miss Glutino’s plain and poppy seed and cinnamon raisen bagels, what happened to them?
I wish Against the Grain would make plain bagels, the only type I ever see are the sun dried tomato ones and they taste terrible!

Thanks for stopping by, Belen. Are Joan’s bagels available where you are?
